Dev Update July 2024

After the latest release, which admittedly did not attract much attention,
I have noted that videos receive a high number of views.
The views-to-supporters ratio remains extremely low.
However, this ratio is still better than when I release a new build.

Given these observations, I am reorganizing my approach and the direction of my efforts.
Development will continue, but the priority will shift towards creating animations.
According to my statistics, animations generate the most views, engagement, and support, even if this support seems relatively short-lived.
These small contributions help keep the project afloat and enable the production of content that benefits the overall project.

I have also added realistic and firm goals on SubStar.
The first two goals are modest, aiming for stability without exaggerating the numbers.
When I reach at least the first goal, I will be able to focus more on the game itself.

In the coming weeks and months, my goal is to build a more solid and engaged community.
I already have a small base of loyal supporters who help me significantly, and I am deeply grateful for their support.
My aim is to gather more like-minded individuals, and I am confident that they are out there.

I am not giving up, on the contrary, but I am taking stricter measures that are more aligned with my interests too. 

Changes Ahead:

1. Discord for Supporters Only: Access to the Discord server will be limited to supporters.
2. Censored Public Animation Videos: Future animation videos posted publicly will
   be censored and incomplete. (uncensored and complete for supporters)
3. Access to Recent Dev Builds: Access to the most recent dev builds of the game will require an additional month of support. A higher tier will be available for those who want immediate access to the latest version.
4. Enhanced Security: Login and other security measures are integrated into the builds.

Too many people want everything for free or at minimal cost, but I invest a significant amount of time and effort, thousands of hours of work.
It is not feasible to offer this for free.
This is my only source of income, it’s my work. This is not just a game for me.
I value my work and my skills, and I expect them to be valued accordingly.
