I’ve made progress on the three games: The Holestic Adventures, Chiks’n Eggs Factory, and Kinky Kart.
That said, I’ve slowed down a bit over the past 30 days.
Still facing challenges, I’m looking for other jobs, but things remain uncertain for now.
I’ve also spent time on those blasted social media platforms, trying, with mixed success, to boost visibility.
It feels like a waste of effort, especially on Twitter, where I have to post and comment on all sorts of things just to get a few thousand views, and often not even for my own work.
So, I’m going to put Twitter on the back burner and focus on other platforms that offer slightly better visibility.
You’ve probably seen or heard, but adult content is becoming increasingly difficult to share due to ever-stricter regulations.
Whether it’s on Itch.io or even Steam, the sector is getting tougher, and I’m seeing many developers abandon NSFW content.
As a result, I’ve started restricting the visibility of certain videos: less explicit ones will be available to logged-in site members, while more adult content will be exclusive to supporters.
If an ID check is required on a support platform, it’s handled by the platform itself.
I don’t have the resources to pay for an ID verification service, so I rely on these platforms as intermediaries.
By linking your accounts on the site to these platforms, you gain access.
Regarding support, I’ll keep the tiers as they are, even though, technically and financially, I should probably increase the first two tiers.
However, since many people don’t truly support but rather come as if they’re buying a finished game
—despite my descriptions and goals being crystal clear—
I’m introducing a “trust” period via a Substar feature.
This means the first month will grant limited access, and full access will only be available after the second month of support, mainly for the first two tiers.
(Note that this doesn’t affect existing supporters, only new ones.)
I planned to activate this at the start of the month, but I’ll implement it with the new releases.
New supporters will have access to previous versions in their first month but will need to continue supporting for a second month to access new ones (except for tier 3).
As for updates, as mentioned, I’ve slowed down in recent weeks, but there’s still been progress.
I can’t yet say exactly when the new versions will be out, but definitely before the end of the year for The Holestic Adventures, Chiks’n Eggs Factory, and Kinky Kart in Unreal Engine 5.
I’m also working on the Substar plugin for those who don’t want to use Discord (currently required to link your account to the site for access).
I’ll do my best to ensure the plugin is fully functional with the new releases.
At the same time, I’ll focus more on the forum.
With recent ID check issues on Discord, I understand it may not inspire much confidence.
As I’ve previously mentioned, I want to prioritize the forum over Discord.
It’s likely that links for new releases and all new videos will be posted directly on the site’s forum in private access sections.
I’ll keep Discord, of course, but treat it as what it is: primarily a chat platform for announcements, without exposing too much content there.
I believe the forum, with its private access, is more secure and will be more comfortable for everyone.
